Building on the success of our Tipperary Fresh non-GMO product, the Board of Thurles Fresh Milk has decided to upgrade our dairy production facilities.
Over recent months, we have made significant investments including:
- Installation of a new resin floor
- New PVC-cladded walls
- Addition of two new shrink wrappers
- A new stainless-steel ladder and other stainless-steel enhancements
These upgrades position us well for the future expected growth in production of our Tipperary Fresh milk.
Tipperary Fresh: Committed to Non-GMO Excellence
At Tipperary Fresh, we were proud to launch Ireland’s first milk produced from cows fed exclusively on grass and non-GMO feed. This commitment is made possible through our carefully managed supply chain, certified by Foodchain ID in 2019, and our partnership with local growers and farmers.
Our feed is produced at Centenary Agri Animal Feed Mill in Ballyduff, where the local harvest is enriched with essential minerals and vitamins to create a range of high-quality non-GMO animal feeds. Any additional ingredients are sourced from verified non-GMO farmers, primarily in Europe.
By growing non-GMO crops, we not only eliminate intensively produced GM crops from our supply chain but also contribute to healthier soils, improved biodiversity, and natural habitats for bees. This approach ensures that our farmers can pass down their livelihood to future generations while delivering milk that’s better for the environment and our consumers.
