More than 700 farmers attended a farm walk hosted by the Ryan family at their farm in Lisheen, Moyne on 24th of June 2026, highlighting one of Ireland’s leading dairy farms and providing an opportunity to see best practice in action.

The event celebrated the Ryan family’s success as the 2025 National Winners of the NDC Kerrygold Milk Quality Awards and was organised in collaboration with National Dairy Council (NDC), Ornua, Teagasc and Centenary Thurles Co-operative.

Visitors had the opportunity to tour the farm, gain an insight into the management practices that underpin its success, and hear about the family’s commitment to producing high-quality milk while continually improving farm performance. Throughout the day, farmers exchanged ideas and experiences, reflecting the strong culture of learning and collaboration within the Irish dairy sector.

The Ryan family’s willingness to share their knowledge and open their farm to fellow farmers was greatly appreciated by all in attendance. Their dedication to milk quality, animal care and progressive farm management continues to demonstrate how excellence is achieved through innovation, hard work and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Centenary Thurles Co-operative was proud to support this successful event and congratulates the Ryan family on their outstanding achievement and the example they continue to set for dairy farming in Ireland.
